My deepest sympathy to the Guinan family. Jim touched my heart like a safe haven in this storm we call life. Always there to lend guidance, hug my kids and make sure they were seated safely on our boat before he would let me leave his dock, or just to share a beer, laugh or tear when I would come sit on my brother Bob's bar stool and reminisce of days gone by. God Bless to all.............'till we me again

We can't thank Jim Guinan enough for the kindnesses he showed our three young children--Anna, Chloe & Charles--on their visits to his store. He even introduced baby Charles to his first pretzel stick to help him with this teething. And the day Chloe sang Jingle Bells to the guys in the back gathered for darts is one of our most precious memories. It was a place where we--and especially our kids--could be themselves.

Safely Home by Unknown
I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly Trod the valley of the shade? Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on, Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely, For I love you dearly still; Try to look beyond earth's shadows, Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand; Do it now, while life remaineth-- You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come!

Jim was very special friend, and it was a privilege to be part of his merry band on the nights of the full moon when we all joined in together to sing all the wonderful Irish songs. "Danny Boy" and the full moon will never be the same. My condolences to the family.
