Obituary of Vester Weymes Parker

Vester Weymes Parker, 88, passed away on March 12, 2024 at home in Wesley Chapel, Florida. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margie, who was the mother of his six children; his second wife Merlene; his daughter Debbie, and his great granddaughter Jessica.

He leaves behind his daughters Karen (Ronnie), and Amy (Adam), his sons Kenneth (Rene), Glenn (Marlene), and Scott (Sonja); his grandchildren Matthew (Mary), Adam, Joel (Nicole), Brittany, Joshua, Kenneth (Erin), Steven, Delaney, Parker, Peyton, Keegan (Michael), and Valerie (Andrew); his great grandchildren Amiah, Khalia, Journee, Eva, Kennedy, Ashlynn, Makayla, Payton, Ashely, Logan, Taylor, and Mason; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Vess joined the US Army as a young man, and had many stories to tell of his time stationed in Thule Greenland. After leaving the Army, he became an accomplished factory-trained Mercedes-Benz technician, able to fix anything that rolled through the doors.

Vess loved God, and had an abiding faith that inspired and encouraged others. He loved his family and was a comfort and inspiration to them.

Vess enjoyed playing golf, and fishing. Many wonderful days were spent with his children, either on the golf course, or by the water with a fishing pole in hand. We all treasure these memories, and miss him very much.
