Robin Williams

Obituary of Robin Lawrence Williams

Robin Williams, beloved husband, father, son, and friend to all, departed from this world after a sudden heart attack on March 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that touched countless lives. He is survived by his loving wife Jackie, his children, grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends and admirers around the world.

Robin was born in London, England on November 4, 1963 and went to high school in Miami, Florida, but that was only the start of a journey decorated by remarkable achievements and cherished moments shared with those around him.

Robin's professional journey led him to serve in the United States Air Force with honor and distinction as a Chief Master Sergeant, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and subordinates alike. After retiring from active duty, he continued to serve his country as a Senior Program Manager at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service HQ. His commitment to duty, unwavering leadership, and compassion left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Beyond his military career, Robin was a man of many talents and passions. His love for music, particularly the soulful rhythms of reggae, was a defining aspect of his life, evident to all who knew him. He shared his gift as a DJ across the world, whether spinning records or orchestrating playlists, to use music as a conduit for joy, unity, and cultural celebration.

A lifelong enthusiast of soccer, Robin found solace and joy on the field, where his love for the beautiful game knew no bounds. All the way from playing in the Italian Amateur league to military teams across Asia, recreational leagues in Texas and weekly pickup games in Tampa with friends, his skill, sportsmanship, and unbridled enthusiasm endeared him to teammates and opponents alike, fostering camaraderie and friendship wherever he played.

Robin Williams leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and friendship that will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew him. While he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will forever shine brightly in our hearts. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forward his legacy of love and kindness in all that we do.

Throughout his entire life, Robin’s love for family and duty to their well-being was unmatched and unquestionable. His new title of grandfather brought a smile to unlike anything else. So, in lieu of flowers or gifts, Robin desired that any donations in his honor be made towards a scholarship fund for his grandchildren (https://everloved.com/life-of…).

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2024.
