Obituary of Karen Lynn Brook

Karen Lynn Brook, 65, passed away on February 7, 2024 in Land’O Lakes Florida.  She is survived by her boyfriend of twenty-one years, Kelly Barnett, her sister Joy Brook and Beloved partner Yusuf, Gary Allen Aumaugher, Karen’s son, and Willow Brook, her niece.  A funeral service will be held at Heartwood Preserve on Saturday February 24, 2024.  

After a career as a restaurant manager, Karen enjoyed her retirement - especially traveling with Kelly. Memorable trips included Alaska, a cruise on the Baltic Sea, Hawaii, Oregon, Texas, and trips through the Smokey Mountains.  Her sister and Yusuf enjoyed sharing camp with Karen at Lake of the Ozark’s last fall and getting together for Joy’s birthday at the beach the previous year.  Karen loved her condo in Tarpon Springs and spending time there. She enjoyed her cats, bird watching, gardening, and flowers. Karen was dearly loved and is very much missed.
